A View on Reflection in Nursing and Social Work Education
Čajko Eibicht, Monika ; Lorenz, Walter (advisor) ; Brnula, Peter (referee) ; Vacková, Jitka (referee)
In times of dynamic social changes and uncertainty, reflective practice becomes crucial for social work and nursing. This dissertation examines the epistemological foundations and the multidimensional nature of reflection within professional education from various theoretical perspectives tested through original empirical findings, which aim to prevent the reduction of reflection to a mere technique and instead promote dialogue, interdisciplinary cooperation, and participatory methods. Drawing on phenomenological and critical constructivist approaches deepens the understanding of educators' individual and collective experiences and reflective practices. The structure of the thesis corresponds to three empirical phases. The first phase investigates the characteristics of reflection and its developmental potential using SRIS and PHLMS questionnaires. The second phase, encompassing reflexive thematic analysis of interviews, addresses educators' views on reflection and their methods of promoting reflectivity among students. In the third phase, the work employs Q methodology to process and analyze various perspectives on reflection among educators. This method, still underutilized in the Czech context, allows for a deeper examination of the subjective aspects of educational practice. The participation...

Low Threshold Centers on Selected Social Networks
ŠTURMOVÁ, Alena
The bachelor's thesis focuses on the importance of social networks in social work and their contribution to social workers in low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The theoretical part includes the definition of this particular social service, the determination of the target group, fieldwork, and outpatient work. Further, the thesis describes online social services, access to online services abroad, finally discusses children's leisure time and how the Covid-19 pandemic affected low-threshold facilities. The primary goal of this research was to determine the importance of social networks for social services in low-threshold centers. The partial aim was to characterise the use of social networks for social workers. Using a qualitative research strategy, semi-structured interviews, and processing data using IPA analysis, this study was designed to examine in detail the subjective experience of informants with the given issue. The research group consisted of informants from the South Bohemian Region (N = 8) and Prague (N = 8), who work in low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The analysis identified six main topics, which include the importance of social networks for social workers and clients, the importance of social networks during pandemics, the inclusion of online social services as one of the forms of social work, the perception of social networks by social workers and the meaning of networks in the future. This thesis could help to expand social work with children and young people into the digital sphere and thus get closer to them in the online world. My work can serve as a basis for social sciences students, social workers, professionals, and the lay public. In the future, digital work could also be used for other target groups.
Limity supervize u pracovníků v sociálních službách
MARTÍNKOVÁ, Nikola
The aim of the diploma thesis was: "To identify what limits perceive supervisors at group supervision meetings of social workers in social services." The main research question was: "What are the limits of supervision of social workers from the perspective of supervisors?" A qualitative research strategy, a method of questioning and a semi-structured interview technique were chosen. To achieve the goal, the main research question was divided into areas: identification (6 partial research questions), formal requirements of supervision (2 partial research questions), supervision (4 partial research questions) and benefits of supervision limits (2 partial research questions). The research group consisted of supervisors associated under the Czech Institute for Supervision (ČIS). Taking into account the set strategy, 6 interviews (snowball method) were conducted, which already showed that the sample had been saturated. In order to be involved, the involved informants were required to provide supervisory services in the field of social work and to have at least one year of experience. The interviews were recorded on a dictaphone, from which a verbatim transcript was made. I subsequently coded the transcripts transcribed in this way (processed by the cluster method). Within the first area, i.e., identification, there were identified these clusters: the humanities direction of education, supervision training, psychotherapeutic training and preparation for limits. Within the second area, i.e., the formal requirements of supervision, the following clusters can be specified: contracting, formal limits, content limits, supervisor under supervision. In the area of supervision, which was identified as the third area, I present the following identified clusters: self-reflection, naming limits and ethical aspects. The last, fourth area, i.e., the benefits of supervision, brought the following clusters: personal development, re-contracting, emotional intelligence. The results of the thesis can be used in the training of supervisors, or for the development of already qualified supervisors in practice.
The Lifelong Learning of the Social Workers in the Non Governmental Organizations
HRUBEŠOVÁ, Nikola
The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of lifelong learning of social workers who work in non-governmental non-profit organizations. The aim of this work was to find out what possibilities social workers have with a completed master's degree in the field of lifelong learning. The second important goal was to find out what the social workforce needs for lifelong learning and whether their needs are taken into account in the provision of education. Lifelong learning is an integral part of social work and it is important to take into account the needs of social workers. To achieve these goals, quantitative research was used, which was carried out with the help of a questionnaire survey, which asked a total of 28 questions, some of which were optional. A total of 61 social workers who work in a non-governmental non-profit organization and have a master's degree were contacted. As part of this quantitative research, research was conducted focused only on the South Bohemian Region, where non-governmental non-profit organizations and social workers working in them were found within the register of social service providers. A total of 36 social workers responded to the questionnaire, with the questionnaires being sent twice because unfortunately, the return was very low in the first wave. The data that were subsequently obtained from the questionnaire survey were processed both in Microsoft Excel, but also in R software. From the conducted research it is possible to conclude that social workers are satisfied with the courses offer by their employer. This shows that needs of social workers are both satisfied and motivated. Respondents stated that they regularly receive course offers from their employer. This I consider very important and perspective. This proves that the continuous education of social worker is not happening only because it is required by the government but it is happening because private non-profit organisations support it on their own. Concerning the organization in my data sample I can conclude that the needs of their social workers are taken into account.

PROKOPOVÁ, Andrea
This bachelor's thesis deals with the phenomenon of joint custody. Purpose of this work is to find out what experience social workers have with parents who file or already have a child in joint custody and what tools social work offers in the area of helping families with joint custody. One specific research question was chosen. With this question, we researched with which problems social workers meet at parents who file for joint custody. This bachelor's thesis consist of two parts, theoretical and practical. The family, breakdown of a family, authority of social-law protection of children and joint custody was described in the theoretical part. Practical part deals with the research which was done via aplication of qualitative research. Questioning method and semistructured interview were used in keeping with this strategy. Afterwards data was evaluated via tracing method. Particular codes were than assigned to the categories and inputted into the table. Research showed that social workers' experience are pretty much the same. They concur in many things and differ on the other ones. Most of the responses were aimed at a child who is taken as the most important aspect of a process od filing for joint custody. This bachelor's thesis can be used by people who are interested in the problemacy of joint custody and who want to know more about this phenomenon from social workers point of view.
Working Conditions of the Social Workers in the Organizations
SMOLÍKOVÁ, Martina
This diploma thesis is a part of the project called Selected Aspects of the Social Work Management (registration number GAJU 052/2019/S). The aim of my diploma thesis was to find out how the social workers are satisfied with the working conditions in the organizations. The partial aim was to determined how the adaptation process of the new social workers looks like. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is concentrated on describing conception of a social work, the social services, a profession of the social worker and the working conditions in the organizations. For the practical part a mixed research strategy using a schema QUAN-qual (The QUAN-Qual Model) was chosen. The hypotheses were tested by using Chi-square test - X2 a and signs scheme with significance level 0,05, 0,01 a 0,001. In a qualitative part there was used a technique of an interview according to the instructions and the data were processed with the usage of open, selective and axial coding. The qualitative research completes the quantitative part with knowledges of managers of chosen organizations providing social services. The qualitative part was realised through a self-designed questionnaire which was send to the managers and the social workers of the organizations providing social services in six randomly selected regions in the Czech Republic. In the research participated 396 managers and 331 social workers of the organizations providing social services (there was made a choice of the organizations from the register of the providers of the social services, 1245 organizations providing social services were addressed). In the context of the aims of the diploma thesis were determined two hypotheses. The general hypothesis (hypothesis 1) determining the dependence of the length of practice and education of the social workers on the satisfaction of the social workers with selected working conditions and hypothesis 2 which deals with length of the training of the new social worker according to the target group of the organization. Within the general hypothesis was confirmed statistically significant relation between education and satisfaction with the team. In other cases statistically significant relations between variables were not confirmed. In the hypothesis 2 statistically significant relation between the target group of the organization and the length of the training of the new social worker does not exist. According to the research question which focused on finding out what the working conditions of the social workers are from the point of view of their managers came up with five categories of working conditions (working background, salary, working benefits, team, relationship between superior versus inferior) and 2 categories related to dissatisfaction of the social workers (dissatisfaction of the social workers and solutions of the dissatisfaction). Moreover 3 categories related to the adaptation process (steps of the adaptation process, length of the adaptation process and introduction of working conditions). The interviews were realized with 24 informants. The results of my thesis are a part of the complex results of the project GAJU called Selected Aspects of the Social Work Management (registration number GAJU 052/2019/S). The obtained data will be used for further extension research or they can be used to make a proposal which can improve management of organizations providing social services.
